Summer Service Fellowship

About

The Summer Service Fellowship is an intensive, nine-week summer experience that challenges students to engage in significant community projects – either those identified by a community organization or something the participating student develops. The fellowship provides academic credit.

The program commitment is 40 hours a week: on average 35 hours per week are devoted to community projects and 5 hours per week are devoted to group programming. Fellows are paid a stipend ($3,492) and campus housing is provided. Fellows are required to live at Rhodes or in the Memphis community and may not hold another job or attend summer school so that participants have time and energy to fully engage in the experience.
