Chickasaw Middle School Back-to-School Supply Drive Impact Statement

Karen Hearts Foundation hosted a Back-to-School Supply Drive at Chickasaw Middle School on Friday, October 3rd from 12:30pm-2:00pm, alongside our partner KhalsaAid International, as part of our Step Up & Mentor Initiative Giveaway Day. We believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive with the right tools, which is why we provided brand-new backpacks and essential supplies to help remove non-academic barriers.

We distributed 325 backpacks, 350 supply kits, 300 packs of chips, 300 snack packs, and 300 fruit snacks, and we also signed up students to become mentees and youth mentors within Karen Hearts Foundation. This support reduced financial burdens for families and increased academic readiness, dignity, comfort, and school stability. The estimated total value of donated items was $6,200, helping students start the school year prepared and confident with the resources and support they need to succeed.
